Your yard. Your climate. Your Greenprint.
SmartScape generates personalized Greenprints — the easy button for converting any American yard to climate-resilient, water-smart, pollinator-friendly native plants. Greenprints come with recommended native plants, indigenous plant uses and wildlife benefits, and a year-long planting and maintenance timeline.
Shaped and directed by SmartScape's human intelligence and expertise, powered by Claude AI.
A note on AI's footprint: a single Greenprint uses roughly the energy and water of a couple Google searches — small on its own. That's a real, valid concern at data-center scale, and we take it seriously — it's part of why we built a tool whose whole purpose is net-positive, where the water and habitat gains from one converted yard far outweigh the footprint of generating its Greenprint.

Greenprint recommendations are shaped by human expertise and scientific data, powered by Claude AI, whose training incorporates the USDA PLANTS Database, the Native American Ethnobotany Database, iNaturalist, university extension research, and peer-reviewed botanical literature. Each recommendation also links to a live-synced USDA PLANTS Database profile page where available. Plant photos are sourced from Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons. Your local nursery is a great resource too — they can confirm current availability, answer any site-specific questions, and offer the kind of in-depth planting and growth guidance that comes from real hands-on plant expertise. Nursery data compiled from PlantNative.org, Native Plant Trust, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Wild Ones Native Plant Nursery Finder, Grow Native Massachusetts, Calscape, Pollinator Pathway NW, Native Plants Hawaii, and regional conservation districts. All nurseries listed specialize in or carry native plants for their region. Every yard a Greenprint helps convert to natives can cut water use 60-80%, cut the need for pesticides and fertilizers to nearly zero, reduce pesticide/fertilizer runoff, and create pollinator habitat. A note on AI's footprint: a single Greenprint uses roughly the energy and water of a couple Google searches — small on its own. AI's aggregate water and energy use at data-center scale is a real, valid concern. SmartScape Early Access — July 2026.
